Bergamo airport transfer
Bergamo
Airport is also
known as Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport (BGY). It is situated
at 5 km from Bergamo and at 45 km from Milan. It is located
in the centre of Lombardy, northern Italy, at the foothills
of the enchanting Orobian Alps, along the Swiss border.
Bergamo is a very regional airport that offers several
ski transfer providers encompassing six Italian regions,
which overlook the Alps. Berne Airport transfer gives
low cost access to a number of ski resorts in the following
regions: Aosta Valley, Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, Trentino,
and Friuli Venezia Giuli.
It is known that the most important Italian ski resorts
are located in the northern part of the country, and the
province of Bergamo – Lombardy – is very well positioned
in matters of access. Airport transfer from Bergamo Airport
can be arranged to take you to Castione della Presolana,
Colere, Foppolo, and Schilpario, these four ski resorts
taking one hour to one and a half hour to be reached,
and all linked by the same ski Lift Pass. Alba is another
ski resort reachable by ski transfer from Bergamo Airport.
It is in the Piedmont region (province of Cuneo), in the
southwest and bordering the foot of the French Alpes Maritimes.
It takes 2 hours to get there as well as to Aprica, Pescegallo,
and Brusson (part of Monterosa Ski Area). At 2,5 hours
is Cavalese, a ski resort east of the province of Trentino.
It is situated in the Avisio Valley, which is part of
the Dolomites Mountains. Moreover, airport transfers from
Bergamo Airport that takes 2,5 hours can also reach the
following ski resorts: Aosta Valley (excellent for expert
skiers), Alpe di Mera, Gressoney la Trinité (part of
Monterosa Ski Area), and other resorts situated in the
area of Aosta Valley, northwestern of Italy.
At 3 hours
of distance, it is the world-famous Swiss ski resort of
St. Moritz (part of Upper Engadine Area Ski Area). It
has 350 km of downhill skiing and 88 individual pistes.
Other Swiss resorts are Maloja, Celerina, La Punt, Sivaplana,
Sils, Zermatt, Lugano, Val Gardones, etc. But the closest
ski resort is Montecampione. Bergamo Airport transfer
to this resorts takes less than one hour (it is located
at 55 km from Bergamo), and it is opened from December
to March. More Italian ski resorts in the region are Bormio,
Madesimo, Passo Tonale, and Teglio (all within 120 km
to 160 km).
It is possible to get to most ski resorts by bus or taxi
instead of a private Bergamo airport transfer. But for
groups of 3 or more it is often best to arrange a ski
transfer Bergamo in advance with one of the Bergamo airport
transfer operators. Booking a private Bergamo airport
transfer will allow you to start you holiday without the
stress of getting to the bus stations and paying expensive
taxi fares.
