Munich airport transfer
Munich Airport (MUC) is officially called
Franz Josef Strauss International Airport, which is situated
at 28 km northeast of Munich city centre. Munich is the
capital of the Bavarian region in Germany, and its airport
is a major hub for Lufthansa and Star Alliance members.
Munich Airport is the second most important airport in
Germany if considering annual number of passengers, and
it is one of the busiest in Europe. In 2007 alone, it
handled around 34 million passengers. Moreover, it was
opened in 1992 to replace another airport in the area.
It has got 2 terminals and is served by around 45 airlines
that connect 237 destinations in 65 countries. In addition,
Munich Airport is located just off the A92, a motorway
placed between Munich and Deggendorf. Also, it can be
easily accessed from four motorway exits. Airport transfer
from Munich Airport gives easy access to several ski resorts
both in Germany and Austria.
If you arrange ski transfer from Munich Airport, you can
reach many Austrian ski resorts within one hour distance,
including Achenkirch, Hopfgarten im Brixental, Itterz/Muhtal,
Kramsach, Kössen, Oberau (in the Wildschönan Ski Area),
Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser, Ellmau, Söll (the last three
in Ski Welt Area), and Wörgl. Munich Airport transfer
can also be arranged to German ski resorts, such as Bad
Kohlgrub-Hörhle, Eschenlohe, Garmisch-Patenkirchen, Inzell,
Oberaudorf (in Ski Paradise Sudelfeld Area), Schliersee,
and Tegernsee.
Within
one and a half hour of distance, a previously organized
ski transfer can get you to Alpbach, Auffach, Jochberg,
Westendorf (all in Austria), Bayrichzell, Ruhpolding
(both German resorts), Kitzbühel, etc. Airport transfer
from Munich Airport can also take you to Innsbruck,
Krimml, Mayrhofen, St. Johann in Tirol, Westendorf,

Ski Area), Bad Gastein (in Gastein Ski Area), Ranis,

It is possible to get to most ski resorts by bus or
taxi instead of a private Munich airport transfer. But
for groups of 3 or more it is often best to arrange
a ski transfer Munich in advance with one of the Munich
airport transfer operators. Booking a private Munich
airport transfer will allow you to start you holiday
without the stress of getting to the bus stations and
paying expensive taxi fares.
