Airport transfers for one or two persons

If you are traveling as a single person or in a very small group, please read the information below before you submit an airport transfer request on our system. Private transfers can be very expensive for small groups but you might be able to get a bus transfer, shared or shuttle service to your resort.

Airport Transfers for one person

A private airport transfer for one single person is expensive and never a viable option unless you are super rich. If you are traveling as a single person you have to find a shared airport transfer, a scheduled transfer service or travel by public transport to get a good deal. Car hire is less expensive than an airport transfer but still a substantial cost for a person traveling on their own especially over longer holiday periods. Some ski transfer operators offer shared services or run shuttle buses between your chosen airport and ski resort. Please make sure you select 'shared' when submitting your airport transfer request form and don't be disappointed when quotes are high. It is expensive for operators to run a van for one person up and down the mountain.

Airport Transfers for very small groups

Private airport transfers for two or three people can still be expensive. As a general rule, private airport transfers are cheapest for a group of 8 people and get proportionally more expensive as the number of people traveling decreases. For example: A private return transfer from Geneva airport to Val D'isere can be as low as 70 - 100 euro per person for a group of 8 but as high has a 250 euro per person for a group of 2 or 3 people. Ask for a shared airport transfer when submitting a request to receive a lower quote.

Tips to get you the best deal for one person:

  • Make it clear in the airport transfer request that you are flexible on time and route
  • Always select 'shared' or 'no preference' for the type of airport transfer
  • Explore public transport options to a destination closer to the ski resort
  • Check if there is a scheduled airport transfer to your chosen ski resort
  • Find other people who might travel to the same resort to make airport transfer more viable

As a rule of thumb: If you don't mind traveling with strangers from the airport to your ski resort ask for a shared airport transfer.
