Trieste airport transfer

Trieste Airport or Ronchi dei Legionari Airport, is also known as Friuli Venezia Giulia Airport (TRS). It is located in Ronchi dei Legionari, at 33 km northwest of Trieste, which is the capital and biggest city in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The airport is situated only 11 km off A4 (Trieste-Venice motorway). It is a handy airport if you intend to go to the northeastern corner of Italy. Airport transfer from Trieste Airport is a great solution to reach several ski resorts, since the airport is a gateway to a multi-national region (a four-country region formed by Veneto – Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, and Carinthia – Austria).

Ski transfer from Trieste Airport takes you to a region where the Upper Adriatic meets the Eastern Alps. You can visit many ski resorts in the Julian Alps (Slovenia), and also in Italy and Austria. The closest ski areas are Javornik-Crnivrk (at 38 km), KaliÄ (in 42 km), Cerkno (at 55 km), Soriska Planina (at 65 km), and Platak (at 65 km). The first four ski areas are in Slovenia, and the last one in Croatia. By arranging ski transfer, you can also reach Roccaraso, a beautiful ski resort

Near the border between Austria and Slovenia, it is Carnia, a ski resort in the region of the Varmost (Forni di Sopra). It is located in the Carnian Alps, west of the Dolomites. It takes one and a half hour to reach Carnia, which is near the Austrian Mountains, by Trieste Airport transfers. Other ski resorts in the area are Sauris, Prato Carnico, Ampezzo, Lauco, Forni di Sopra, Forni di Sotto, Sutrio, Sella Chianzutan, Ravascletto, Sappada, Cadore, Alta Pusteria, Tre Valli, and Valle Isarco.

Ski transfer from Trieste Airport can also take you to Kranjska Gora (the biggest and premier resort in Slovenia at only two and a half hours), Taravisno (an Italian resort on the border with Austria), Vogel (in Slovenia, opened from December to April), Bled (in Slovenia, at 2 hours distance), Kobla (in Slovenia as well, opened from December to March), and Gerlitzen (in Austria), among others.

It is possible to get to most ski resorts by bus or taxi instead of a private Trieste airport transfer. But for groups of 3 or more it is often best to arrange a ski transfer Trieste in advance with one of the Trieste airport transfer operators. Booking a private Trieste airport transfer will allow you to start you holiday without the stress of getting to the bus stations and paying expensive taxi fares.
