    Grossarl (Großarl) is a market town in the St. Johann im Pongau district in the state of Salzburg in western central Austria. The valley Grossarltal got its name from Grossarl. The market town is located in the Grossarl Valley in Pongau, 70 kilometres south of the city of Salzburg. Grossarl is a very touristic oriented market town.     Is there public transport to Grossarl

    There are buses which ply to the resort from the airport listed above. Train options to this resort are also available with trains running from Salzburg airport Tue-Fri: 6:30 AM–4:30 PM · every 2 hours and the travel time is 3 hours and 12 minutes. From Linz airport too trains run Tue-Fri: 6 AM–3 PM · every 2 hours and the journey time is 3 hours and 39 minutes. From Klagenfurt airport too trains also run Tue-Fri · 5 times per day and the journey time is 4 hours and 20 minutes. Trains from other airports may take a longer time to reach the resort.

    Advice on Transportation to Grossarl

    While many people do use the public transport listed above they can sometimes be time consuming like some train journeys from airports not listed above may take up a long time to reach the resort.
