Anzere is a very popular ski resort in Switzerland in the Glacier-Alpes Vaudoises Ski Area. It is said to be the sunniest place in Switzerland, hence its popularity. The nearest airport to Anzére is in Sion, only 14 kilometers away and you can reach it in roughly an hour. The only direct way into Anzére is by road. Airports such as Geneva and Milan also link to Anzere, but there are changes to be made if using public transport, and journey times can be lengthy.
There are public transport options to get to Anzere, but it is worth bearing in mind changes may be necessary. Journey times will be longer than normal.
If you are arriving to Sion you have to take Line 351 bus that will take you directly to the resort. You can take a train from Geneva or Milan, changing to bus in Sion. The journey takes about two and a half hours from Geneva and about 3 hours from Milan.
While many people do use the above public transport links they are time consuming. You are much better off booking an airport transfer from the airport where you land. You will benefit from a shorter journey time and a direct route. You also get the added bonus of traveling in comfort, and of a guaranteed journey that is pre-booked. Airport transfers are also the most cost-effective method of getting to Anzere.
