The Italian Ski Resort of Artesina has direct access to 90km of downhill skiing, with 15 individual pistes, served by 12 ski lifts. Artesina offers some challenging pistes for the more advanced. It has recently been linked to Prato Nevoso resort by ski lifts, so that it develops with the other one the Skiing district Mondolè Ski. The small village of Artesina is almost traffic free, and has plenty of ski-in accommodation. There is a selection of shops, cafés and restaurants to enjoy. During the winter skiing season, there are also big concerts that are periodically organized.
There are few Airports within two hours drive so quick ski holiday is possible at any time.The closest airport to Artesina is either Nice or Turin. Both Grenoble and Genova are also options but transfer time can be a bit longer.
There are no direct railway or bus connections with Artesina so several changes will be necessary. From Turin you will have to take a train to Mondovi station and then change to public bus service to Artesina. The journey takes about one and a half hour. From other airports using public transportation may be more challenging and takes much more time.
Without the availability of a direct rail link getting to and from Artesina by public transport is tiresome and takes time. We recommend airport transfers as the best way. From any airport you can book a transfer, and the time taken will depend on where you start. Benefits include a direct journey and therefore a shorter journey time. You also get a guaranteed ride in comfort and they are the most cost-effective method of travelling to and from Artesina.
