Bad Kleinkirchheim is a ski resort with well-developed and strong spa facilities. Its thermal water is always a good demand all year round. The resort initially was the place famous for its thermal water springs. There are two large spa centers that host lots of guests especially in winter and summer. However, the holiday resort is also well known among skiers and snowboarders. Beautiful long red slopes and wide pistes for beginners are typical for the ski area. The ski area has a good network of ski lifts and snow guns. The main run of Bad Kleinkirchheim is a legendary speedy downhill run, named after the famous champion Franz Klammer. The closest airport to Bad Kleinkirchheim is Klagenfurt. It is only 53km away and it takes less than an hour to get to the resort. The other options are Ljubljana in Slovenia (126km) and Salzburg (167km). Other airports like Graz, Innsbruck or Vienna is much further and transfer times can be longer.
