    Some Facts about Brixen Plose

    Brixen Plose is a small town offering a wide range of facilities – including an indoor ice rink and numerous bars and restaurants. The skiing area is in the Plose region above, which includes one of the world's longest black descents (at 9km, the longest slope in the South Tyrol). Top après ski spots include the Igloo at the base of the Plose lifts and there is a megadisco in Brixen too. Additionally, there's a fun park and half pipe and, with virtually all of the terrain accessed by gondola or chair lifts, it's easy to get around. All the opportunities locally and in the greater area open to skiers and boarders, including the possibility of exploring further with the one Dolomiti Superski ticket. Those boarders who have crossed over from skateboarding will be pleased to discover a rare skateboard-park-in-a-ski-resort in Brixen. Brixen Plose has 40km of Piste (950m to 2600m).This Ski Resort has also direct access to 40km of downhill skiing, with 15 individual pistes, served by 10 ski lifts. With pistes above 2500 meters, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

    From which airport can I reach Brixen Plose?

    There are three Airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Brixen / Plose are perfectly feasible. Bolzano Airport and Innsbruck Airport are just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.     Is there public transport to Brixen Plose?

    There is a train station in Bressanone/Brixen so getting there is relatively easy. Below you can find information about public transportation to Brixen:

    • If you are coming from Bolzano you just have to hop in the train or bus in the City Centre and in an half an hour you will bet in Brixen.
    • There is a direct bus from Innsbruck Airport twice daily. If you wish to travel by train you will have to change in Fortezza to bus that will take you to Brixen. The train journey will take about two hours.
    • Coming from both Bergamo and Brescia will require multiple changes and it takes four to five hours to get to Brixen.
    • It is possible to travel from other airports to Brixen but it takes a lot of time due to multiple changes.

    Advice on Transportation to Brixen Plose.

    While many people do use the above public transport links they are time consuming. You are much better off booking an airport transfer from the airport where you land. You will benefit from a shorter journey time and a direct route. You also get the added bonus of travelling in comfort, and of a guaranteed journey that is pre-booked. Airport transfers are also the most cost-effective method of getting to this resort.
