Campitello Matese is one of the biggest tourist magnets in Molise due to its snowy slopes all skiing season long. In fact, it is the snowiest ski resort in Central-Southern Italy. Campitello Matese is nicely located on the interior of the Massif of Matese, that is one of the most important "water castles" of the Italian peninsula. Behind Campitello Matese stands Mountain Miletto, the highest peak of the group, surrounded by its prominent neighbours: Mount Croce and the Gallinola. If you wish to change your skiing activity to more relaxing motions, then take the chair lift to the summit of Mountain Miletto (2500 m above the sea level) to enjoy wonderful landscapes of this region.
