    Canazei is a small town in the Val di Fassa, a picturesque valley in northern Italy. It is an Alpine village that is famed for skiing and mountaineering. The nearest major town is Trento, around 70km away. The area is known for its beautiful scenery as well as ski slopes that cater for all levels of experience. The town is home to many historic buildings. It is a pretty town with many hotels and guest houses, and the surrounding towns and villages offer a variety of restaurants and bars. The ski resort is somewhat exclusive and not on the scale of others in the region, but offers excellent sport nevertheless. There are 175km of groomed slopes, and it is part of the popular Sella Ronda circuit. Canazei di Fassa has direct access to 18 individual pistes that are served by 13 ski lifts. Pistes above 2500 metres are always good for skiing and snowboarding. They have excellent snowmaking cover and most are equipped with modern lifts. Graded black pistes are good for experienced skiers and may be tough for less experienced ones.

    From which airport can I reach Canazei?

    The closest airports to Canazei are Innsbruck and Verona. Munich, Bergamo, Brescia, Treviso and Milan are also options for Canazei but transfer time can be well over three hours during peak travel time. The most convenient airport from which to reach Canazei is undoubtedly Innsbruck, which is a one to two hour transfer to Canazei. Please note if you fly into Innsbruck or Munich airport you will have to travel via the Brenner Pass which might increase you transfer fees.

    • Take a bus from Innsbruck Airport to Selva, then change to the bus to Canazei. The journey takes about four hours.
    • From Treviso Airport you can take a direct shuttle bus.The journey takes two and a half hours. Theres is a direct bus from Treviso, that will take you to Canazei di Fassa in four and a half hours.
    • There is a direct shuttle bus from Venice Airport. It takes about three hours to get to Canazei di Fassa.
    • There is a direct shuttle bus from Verona Airport. The journey takes two and a half hours.
    • Coming from other airports requires many changes and the journey takes more than five hours.
