    Some Facts about Falcade-Caviola

    Falcade-Caviola, in the Veneto region of Italy, is a medium sized ski resort with 10 ski lifts that offers skiers an incredible 1323 metres of vertical descent. Falcade-Caviola has 20 Pistes and 27km of cross country ski trails. Falcade-Caviola is part of the Trevalli ski area with access to 120km of downhill skiing, with 113 individual pistes, served by 47 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Falcade-Caviola itself (80km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Trevalli ski resorts of Moena and Passo San Pellegrino. This area offers places where, after a long, hard ski you can take a break and recharge while trying dishes that are typical of the local mountain tradition. In summer this beautiful resort offers mountain climbing, trekking and mountain biking with some spectacular views. 

    From which airport can I reach Falcade-Caviola?

    The closest airports to Falcade-Caviola are Treviso and Venice, which offer a one to two hour transfer time. Bergamo, Verona and Innsbruck are also options for San Pellegrino but transfer time can be well over three hours during peak travel time. Please note if you fly into Innsbruck or Munich airport you will have to travel via the Brenner Pass which might increase you transfer fees.     Is there public transport to Falcade-Caviola?

    If you are considering using public transport to get from the airport to Falcade-Caviola there are options. However, due to the location of the resort these are limited. There is no direct rail link to the town or the nearby towns, and the journey times can be lengthy as a result. The following are the only viable public transport links available:

    • Take a bus from Treviso to Falcade-Caviola via Belluno. It may take up to five hours to get to Falcade-Caviola.
    • Take a bus from Venice to Falcade-Caviola via Belluno. The journey takes about four hours.
    • Take a bus from Verona to Falcade-Caviola via Moena. It takes about four and a half hours to get to Falcade-Caviola.

    Going by public transport from other airports may take a long time to reach the resort.

    Advice on Transportation to Falcade-Caviola

    The usual alpine problem of a lack of rail connections means that public transport is not always the best way to get to Falcade-Caviola from your airport of choice. Airport transfers are a convenient way to get to and from the resort. You can book them in advance and they are cost effective and comfortable.
