Flumserberg is a resort area in the Swiss Alps, located in the canton of St. Gallen. It is composed of several villages between 1,160 and 1,344 metres. The resort sits on a terrace overlooking the Walensee, above Flums in the Sarganserland region. Flumserberg mainly belongs to the municipality of Flums, with a small part belonging to the municipality of Quarten.
Flumserberg has direct access to 22 individual pistes, served by 17 ski lifts. With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.
There are seven Airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Flumserberg are perfectly feasible. Friedrichshafen Airport and St. Gallen-Altenrhein Airport are just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly

There are buses which ply to the resort from the airport listed above. Train options to this resort are also available with trains running from Friedrichshafen airport Mon-Sun · 3 times per day and the travel time is 4 hours and 48 minutes. From Zurich airport too trains run Tue once per day and the journey time is 2 hours and 32 minutes. From St. Gallen trains also run Mon-Sat: 7 AM–1 PM · every 60 min and the journey time is 2 hours and 41 minutes. Trains from other airports may take a longer time to reach the resort.
While many people do use the public transport listed above they can sometimes be time consuming like some train journeys from airports not listed above may take up a long time to reach the resort. You are much better off booking an airport transfer from the airport where you land especially if you are travelling as a group. You will benefit from a shorter journey time and a direct route. You also get the added bonus of travelling in comfort, and of a guaranteed journey that is pre-booked. Airport transfers are also the most cost-effective method of getting to this beautiful ski resort.
