Lackenhof is a town and cadastral of the Lower Austrian market town in the district of Scheibbs Gaming at the western foot of the Ötscher. The village consists of the village Lackenhof and the rotting Vallarga. Today Lackenhof is a ski resort with hotels from the 1990s which had got entangled in economic problems but is being resolved by foreign investors. So as of of 2012, eleven of the 15 hotels were owned by foreigners.
