Some people use cheap flights to Italian airports, mainly Milan Malpensa, but these are only worthwhile if they are very cheap. Also, if you fly into one of the Italian airports you will have to travel through the Mt Blanc tunnel to get to Les Arcs as all the mountain roads and passes are closed during the winter.
