Pozza di Fassa is a comune (municipality) in Trentino in the northern Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) northeast of Trento.
The municipality of Pozza di Fassa contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Pera di Fassa and Monzon. Pozza located in the heart of the Val di Fassa, surrounded by Cima Endici and Cima Dodici and with a fantastic view on the Torru del Vajolet. The Buffaure ski are with its 25 km slopes is a paradise for ski fans, with one of the longest slopes in the whole valley starting at 2050 m and leading all the way back to the town.
There are two Airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Pozza di Fassa are perfectly feasible. Bolzano Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
