This resort is part of the Aletsch ski area with access to 49 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Riederalp itself (30km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Aletsch ski resorts of Bettmeralp and Fiescheralp.     The ski resort itself consisting of the three areas Riederalp, Bettmeralp and Fiescheralp and equipped with 35 lifts and pistes catering for various abilities in total is big enough to accommodate skiers and snowboarders. At Riederalp winter sports enthusiasts enjoy the benefit of being able to ski right to their doorstep. It goes without saying that there is a snow sports school for children and adults as well.

    Is there public transport to Riederalp

    There are buses which ply to the resort from the airport listed above. Train options to this resort are available with trains leaving from Sion airport and running Mon-Sat: 7 AM–7:30 PM · every 60 min with a journey time of 1 hour and 57 minutes. From Geneva airport too trains run Mon-Sun: 6:30 AM–6 PM · every 60 min and the journey time is 3 hours and 33 minutes. From Basel airport trains also run Mon-Sun · 5 times per day and the travel time is 3 hours and 44 minutes. Trains from other airports may take a longer time to reach the resort.

    Advice on Transportation to Riederalp

    While many people do use the public transport listed above they can sometimes be time consuming like some train journeys from airports not listed above may take up a long time to reach the resort. You are much better off booking an airport transfer from the airport where you land especially if you are travelling as a group. You will benefit from a shorter journey time and a direct route.
