Sauze d’Oulx is a part of the great Via Lattea ski area or the Milky Way in English, which consists of slopes with the total length of 400 km. Sauze d’Oulx is the biggest resorts at the Via Lattea. The Via Lattea unites Italian Sestriere, SanSicario, Clavier and French Montgenevre. Sauze d’Oulx became famous when hosted freestyle competitions in 2006 at the Olympics. In 80’s Sauze d’Oulx was a sensational resort with a fancy nightlife, similar to Chamonix or St. Anton. But recently it has changed. Nightlife in the village is still active, but the guest’s profile has changed. The area has become calmer nowadays. There are several airports that you could fly to if you are coming to Sauze d’Oulx. The nearest airport is Turin/Torino – Caselle (TRN) Location: 16 km North of Turin, 90 km east from Sauze.
The transfer time by car from the Turin airport is around one-hour.
One thing that makes Sauze d’Oulx an excellent choice for your winter holiday is the ease at which it can be found. Located at one end of the Susa valley, 90 km west of Turin, it is ideally situated close to major travel routes.
The nearest train station is in Oulx (approximately 30 km from the resort), the time on the way from Turin is 1,5 hour. You can easily get to the resort from the train station by scheduled buses.
From Turin: Take the motorway A32 to Oulx – 105 km, then take SS-24 and SS-23.
From France: Take the motorway A43, through the tunnel Frejus, then take the motorway ?32 till Oulx, then SS-24 and SS-23.
